This test consists of approximately 200 statements. Topics covered are split into 35 sections. Your results will be represented on a left-right spectrum as well as an additional eight spectrums. You can then compare your results with the beliefs of certain political figures (particularly current and former world leaders). Biases, oversimplifications, or ambiguous questions might exist (though some questions are intentionally vague). Data visualizations are also available.

The left-right spectrum is further broken into the following spectrums/axes/subsections/dimensions:

• Progressive vs. Conservative: Measures (among other things) attitudes towards social change, cultural values, technological progress, as well as the role of governments and religions in society.
• Libertarian vs. Authoritarian: Measures the role of state power (or another dominant force) in regulating individual lives. This includes a wide range of issues, such as social rights, civic liberties, and economic freedoms. Libertarianism often endorses freedoms such as free speech, gun ownership, abortion access, privacy rights, and LGBT+ rights. Authoritarianism, by contrast, tends to restrict personal freedoms and advocates for a stronger government through the enforcement of a broader set of rules and laws, often relying on surveillance or censorship.
• Socialist vs. Capitalist: Measures how economic systems should be structured and regulated. A socialist system has aspects such as the collective control of production, strong regulations on industries, the redistribution of resources to ensure equality, (often) higher taxes, and greater access to a variety of social services. A more capitalist market generally has less regulation and more private ownership.
• Democratic vs. Autocratic: Measures how power, particularly political power, is distributed. A primary focus is placed on citizen participation versus centralized control. The axis evaluates electoral integrity, institutional checks, and civic freedoms. Examples range from representative democracy to political censorship and rigged elections.
• Internationalist vs. Nationalist: Measures how global cooperation versus national sovereignty, and perhaps, superiority, are prioritized. Internationalism/Globalism endorses trade, treaties, and cultural exchange. Nationalists generally prioritize patriotism and domestic control.
• Pacifist vs. Aggressor: Measures openness to the use of military force, foreign intervention, firearm ownership, and violent protest. Pacifism rejects the use of violence, while militarist views may support the use of force, including preemptive strikes, military expansion, and imperialism.
• Federalist vs. Unitarist: Measures territorial power distribution - decentralized (federalist) versus centralized (unitarist) governance.
• Secular vs. Theocratic: Measures religion’s role in governance as well as religious freedom. Secularism excludes faith from law, while theocracies base laws on doctrine. Views which are critical of religion while still supporting religious freedoms are classified as secular.

Some radical views remain unaccounted for (support of slavery, for example).
